Board of Directors

According to the Articles of Association, the Board of Directors is in charge of managing the IPA’s affairs and safeguarding the legal rights and interests of its members. The Board consists of seven main members and three alternate members, elected for a four-year term from among the Board of Trustees. Their re-election is permitted for one more four-year term.

The composition of the Board of Directors includes three members from Growers, one member from Service Providers, and three members from Exporters. The alternate members consist of one elected member from Growers, Service Providers, and Exporters groups each.

The service provided by the IPA Board members is honorary.

 

Duties and Authorities

  1. Implementing the minutes of General Assembly and the Board of Directors
  2. Supervising the IPA committees’ operations and implementing their minutes
  3. Protecting the legal rights and interests of IPA members
  4. Opening/closing IPA bank accounts
  5. Representing IPA members in assemblies and decision-making government bodies, while defending their rights and furthering the interests of the pistachio industry.
  6. Appointing/dismissing of the IPA Director General
  7. Organizing the General Assembly in accordance with the Articles of Association
  8. Presenting the annual reports to the Board of Trustees
  9. Compiling financial statements and submitting each year’s forecasted budget to the Board of Trustees
  10. Drafting internal regulations
  11. Proposing annual membership fee to the Board of Trustees
